RGS GCSE results hit new highs

After our best ever A Level and IB results we hoped that our GCSE results would round off a record breaking year. When the results came in there were smiles all round as the students achieved the best GCSE results in the school’s history with 72% of grades at A*/A standard.

Every student achieved their 5 A*-C including English and Maths. Incredibly 91% of students achieved 5 A*/A grades or better. Mr Gardner, Principal, commented “This has been a record breaking year for student performance at both A Level and GCSE at The RGS. The students should be extremely proud of their results and I am delighted that all their hard work has been rewarded with these superb results – well done!”

Amongst these excellent results there were some truly outstanding performances: Amber Bains achieved 10 A* grades at GCSE and four A grades at AS Level; Cealach McKeating achieved 15 A*/A grades at GCSE and two A grades and a B at AS Level; Tobi Apampa achieved 11 A* grades at GCSE and one A grade and two B’s at AS Level; Alice Baldock achieved 14 A*/A grades at GCSE and two A grades and a B at AS Level; Vanessa Phan achieved 14 A*/A grades at GCSE and three A grades and a B at AS Level. We wish them all the best for their Sixth Form studies.
