Students are headed to top universities after collecting their results at The Rochester Grammar School.
A Level results day was met with excitement and celebration at The Rochester Grammar School, as students opened the infamous envelopes to impressive grades.
The teachers were full of admiration and praise for their students as they navigated an unprecedented A Level results day.
Clare Brinklow, Head of School at Rochester Grammar School said:
“I am delighted that two years of hard work and dedication has paid off for our students.
“Despite the challenges this year has brought, they stayed focused and thoroughly deserve the excellent results they have achieved and which have secured some fantastic university places.”
These A Level grades follow the school’s excellent results in this year’s International Baccalaureate (IB), when students achieved outstanding marks.
In such a high-performing cohort some of the outstanding performances to mention are Ellie McIntyre, who was head girl at RGS this year, and who achieved A*s in History, Government and Politics, and her Extended Project Qualification (EPQ), as well as an A in English Literature.
Amy McGregor received A*s in Chemistry and Psychology, and As in Biology and AS Level Maths and Umi Manonga attained AAA in Sociology, Religious Studies and English Literature respectively.
In additions, Eleanor O’Conner achieved A*s in Computer Science and her EPQ, as well as As in Chemistry and Maths.
Clare Brinklow went on to add;
“I would also like to pay tribute to our teachers for the work they have done and the support they have given our students.”
As of September, the school will exclusively offer the International Baccalaureate, a qualification the students have also always performed exceptionally well in and which is a superb qualification.
