Students and staff at Rochester Grammar School located on Maidstone Road and part of the Thinking Schools Academy Trust, are celebrating GSCE results day.
The results reflect the hard work shown by pupils following two years of studies and the support given by dedicated staff and families.
A fantastic 52% of all grades are at Grade 7 and above, with almost a third of all grades being Grade 8 and above.
There has been a really strong performance across the core subjects; English, mathematics and all science subjects have done incredibly well. A special mention should go to business studies, physical education, psychology, creative iMedia, film studies and art who all attained particularly strong results.
Alongside the school's overall success, many pupils have achieved exceptional individual results, including:
Clare Brinklow, Principal at Rochester Grammar School, said:
“I am so proud of this cohort of students who have worked so hard to achieve this fantastic set of results and I am looking forward to seeing many of them back here in September to study A Levels in the Sixth Form. As always huge thanks must go to our dedicated staff and to all the parents and families who support at home. It is lovely to see the rewards from this team effort.”
Michelle Smith, Regional Director at The Thinking Schools Academy Trust, said:
“Congratulations to every student receiving their results today. Their achievements are a testament to the effort, resilience and ambition they have demonstrated, as well as the encouragement they have received from teachers, staff and families.
“We are immensely proud of our students at Rochester Grammar School and all they have achieved. As they take their next steps into further education, training or employment, we wish them every success in the opportunities that lie ahead.”
